    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2027 Peterbilt 567, 579, 589 and 2027 Kenworth T680, T880, and W990 vehicles. The seat ventilation harness may be missing heat-shrink, resulting in a short circuit.
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record

    Electrical System / Wiring / Power Distribution Module/Ipdm

    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2027 Peterbilt and Kenworth vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. The power distribution center (PDC) box may be contaminated with oil, which could result in a loss of drive power, Antilock Brake System (ABS) functionality, exterior lighting, windshield wipers, or the defogging system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems," 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems," and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    A loss of lighting, windshield wipers, ABS function, or a loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Dealers will inspect the PDC serial numbers, and replace the PDC boxes as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 23, 2026.     Service Brakes, Air / Supply / Quick Release Valve

    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Peterbilt 579 and 2027 Kenworth T680 tractors. The trailer air connection quick release (QR) valve in the air brake system may have been incorrectly installed, which can cause the trailer to become unstable after the driver applies the brakes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    An incorrectly installed quick release valve that does not function properly can increase the risk of a crash.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Paccar inspected and reinstalled the valves, as necessary, free of charge. All affected tractors have been repaired and therefore no owner notification letters are necessary.     Steering

    PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2026 Kenworth L770 and 2024-2026 Peterbilt 520 vehicles. The right-hand stand-up (RHSU) configuration on the steering cross-shaft may become stressed and fail.
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    A steering cross-shaft that fails can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Dealers will inspect and repair the steering cross-shafts and replace any damaged or broken cross-shafts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 13, 2026.     PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Kenworth T680, T880, and W990 trucks. The 15-inch digital display may fail to display warning lights or vehicle speed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Controls and Displays" and 121, "Air Brake Systems."
