Recall Register

Corrections

The register copies agency records. An error on a page has one of two causes. The register made it, or it is in the agency record.

How to report an error

Send an email to hello@recallregister.com with these 2 items.

  1. The address of the page.
  2. The value on the page, and the value in the agency record.

What happens

  1. The desk answers in five working days.
  2. The desk compares the page with the agency file.
  3. If the register made the error, the desk corrects the program. The next daily build shows the correct value on every page that had the error.
  4. The desk adds a dated entry to the log on this page.

Examples of an error of the register:

  • a wrong date
  • a campaign on the wrong model line
  • a firm under the wrong name
  • a count that is different from the agency file

The name of a person

The register shows organisations only. If a page shows the name of a person, send the address of the page. The desk removes the name at the next build.

A dispute about a recall record

The register cannot change an agency record. A dispute about the record goes to the agency that publishes it. When the agency changes the record, the next build of the register shows the change.

  • NHTSA: recall campaigns, complaints and investigations.
  • CPSC: recall notices of consumer products.
  • FDA: enforcement reports for food, drugs and devices.
