Each data update has a line in this log. The line shows the number of recalls that the update added and the number of vehicle pages that it changed.

The log
The log has no entry. It starts with the first data update after .
- Recalls of the last 14 daysThe newest recalls, by the date that the agency gives.
- Recalls in September 2026All recalls of the newest month.
What the log tracks
The log compares each data update with the update before it. It records 3 kinds of change.
- A recall that is new in the agency data. The log tracks NHTSA campaigns, CPSC recalls and FDA enforcement events dated from 1 January 2025.
- A change of the class of an FDA enforcement event.
- A change of one of the 4 tracked figures of a vehicle model year.
The 4 tracked figures of a vehicle model year:
- the number of recall campaigns
- the do-not-drive advisory
- the park-outside advisory
- the number of open investigations
A recall has the date that the agency gives. The log has the date of the data update. The 2 dates can be different.
