Defect, as filed: Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Air vehicles. The exterior lighting circuit may have insufficient overcurrent protection, allowing the circuit to overheat.
Consequence: An overheated circuit increases the risk of a fire. A loss of the center brake light or front lights can also decrease visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park their vehicle outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed. Lucid has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The lower console display may fail to show a rearview camera image or may show a delayed, inaccurate image of what is behind the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview image that does not appear or fails to accurately depict behind the vehicle increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Lucid has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 3, 2025. Owners may contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243. Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Consequence: Power loss will shut down electric motors, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: A detached tow eye bracket can separate the vehicle from the tow truck, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: A sudden drop in ride height while driving can cause a loss of vehicle control. In addition, brake line damage can result in a loss of brake function. Either of these scenarios increases the risk of a crash.
