    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2026 Ioniq 9 vehicles equipped with a Limited, Calligraphy, or Calligraphy Design trim package. The second-row power seats may fail to detect a person. As a result, the seats may continue to move after contacting a person during powered seat functions, such as automatic power fold-and-stow.
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    A person, especially a child, may become trapped by a rear powered seat, increasing the risk of injury.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Owners are advised to exercise caution when operating the second-row power seat functions until the repair is performed. Children are advised not to be in the rear seats or near the rear seating area during power-folding operation. The seat software will be inspected and updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 9, 2026.     Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Kona Electric and 2024-2026 Kona vehicles. The seat belt buckle in the rear center seat may fail to properly restrain an occupant during a crash.
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    A seat belt buckle that fails to properly restrain an occupant in a crash increases the risk of injury.

    Passengers are advised not to use the rear center seat until the recall remedy is performed. Dealers will replace the seat belt buckle assembly, free of charge.     Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ioniq 5 vehicles. The high voltage battery cells may contain misaligned electrodes, which can lead to a fire while parked or driving.

    Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and limit their charge to a maximum of 80% until the recall repair is complete.     Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

    Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Santa Cruz, Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, and Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. Software in the front cameras may cause the forward collision avoidance system to activate prematurely and unexpectedly apply the brakes.
