Defect, as filed: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB and CESB school buses. The driver's window panel and entrance door vertical joints may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
Consequence: The body panels may separate during a crash, reducing structural integrity and increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will install rivets along the driver's side window seam and entrance door seam, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 8, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26511.

Defect, as filed: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB and 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The body panel joint may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such these vehicle fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
Consequence: The body panels may separate during a crash, reducing structural integrity and increasing the risk of injury.

Defect, as filed: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB school buses. The brake lines may have been installed with incorrect hardware, which can result in brake line damage and cause a leak.
Consequence: A brake fluid leak can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the brake lines and brake line retainers as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 27, 2026. Consequence: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.

Defect, as filed: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB school buses. While carrying the maximum number of occupants, the bus may exceed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) when the fuel tank and fluid reservoirs are full.
Consequence: An incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the bus, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: An inoperative wiper can reduce the driver's ability to see out of the windshield, increasing the risk of a crash.

The underfloor reinforcement may not have been installed, compromising the structural integrity of the buses. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages" and 222, "School Bus Passenger Seating and Crash Protection."
Consequence: Reduced structural integrity may increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Consequence: A parking brake that is not engaged as expected when the driver releases the brakes may allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of crash.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 403, "Platform Lift Systems."
Consequence: A bus that moves while the platform lift is in operation increases the risk of injury.

Consequence: A loose seat belt may not properly restrain the driver in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

When the high beams are activated, the low beams turn off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: Headlight low beam failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
