Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2016, 2019, and 2021 Utilimaster Velocity vehicles. Water may enter an improperly sealed strobe light and cause a short circuit.
Consequence, in the NHTSA record
An electrical short increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy, in the NHTSA record
Owners are advised to remove the control module for the strobe light. The remedy is currently under development. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed July 17, 2026. Another notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available. Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2022 Utilimaster Aeromaster vehicles. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the certification label may be incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2015-2025 Utilimaster Truck Body vehicles. The signal converter may fail, which can cause the brake lights and turn signals to become inoperative.
Consequence, in the NHTSA record
Inoperative turn signals and brake lights can fail to alert other road users to the driver's intentions to turn or stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy, in the NHTSA record
Shyft will inspect and repair the signal converter connecters as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2025. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 25-16.

Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Utilimaster Aeromaster vehicles. The monitor in the 360-degree camera system may not display the correct image at start up.

A monitor failing to display the correct image reduces the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash.
