Sterling tek has notified NHTSA about a noncompliance in certain vox 803 size s motorcycle helmets. These helmets fail to conform to the penetration requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 218, "motorcycle helmets."
- Consequence, in the NHTSA record
In the event of a crash, the helmet could be penetrated, possibly resulting in serious injury to the person wearing the helmet.

Sterling tek will notify owners and will offer a full refund for the noncompliant helmets. The safety recall began on may 13, 2010. Owners may contact sterling tek at 1-877-742-1700.
