    Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Mack LRBE trucks. The high voltage batteries may have loose hardware that can fall inside the battery pack and create a short circuit.

    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2019-2023 LR battery electric trucks. The power cables that connect to the windscreen heater relay may have a loose connection and cause the relay to fail.
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    A relay that fails in the closed position will continue to power the cabin heater, overheating the relay and increasing the risk of a fire.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record

    Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2022-2023 LR Battery Electric vehicles. The coolant line in the high voltage battery pack may not be fully seated and locked, which can result in the loss of coolant and an electrical short circuit.
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    A battery short circuit increases the risk of a fire.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Volvo Trucks will work with the battery manufacturer Akasol to inspect and replace the batteries, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 16, 2023.     Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2019 and 2021-2023 LRBE battery electric trucks. The cabin heater relay may fail, causing the coolant heater to overheat.

    Dealers will update the software for the Hybrid Powertrain Control Unit and Instrument Cluster, and install replacement relays, free of charge.
