    Defect, as filed: The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2016-2026 front loader garbage trucks equipped with replacement CNG tailgate ladder kits. An incorrect bolt may have been installed in one of the ladder legs, allowing the bolt to contact and damage the CNG cylinders.

    Consequence: A damaged CNG tank can leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Heil will replace the ladder bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were September 25, 2026. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345. Heil's number for this recall is SN-26-001.

    Defect, as filed: The Heil Co. (Heil) is recalling certain 2018-2020 front end loader garbage trucks. Excessive vibrations may cause the front head hydraulic tubes to leak.

    Consequence: A hydraulic fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.

    Remedy: Heil will install stabilizing clamps, new hydraulic tubes, and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 30, 2025. Owners may contact Heil's customer service at 1-866-275-4345.
