Announce the Recall of Ralph Lauren Thoroughbred Candles WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), RJS Inc., of Port Washington, N.Y., is conducting a recall of 1,222 Ralph Lauren Thoroughbred Candles. These candles present a fire hazard because their flasks can overheat and burn with high flames. CPSC and RJS have received two reports from consumers that the candle displayed high flames and the leather wrap melted, which resulted in minor property damage. No injuries have been reported. The Ralph Lauren Thoroughbred Candles are silver votives that have a saddle-brown-color leather wrap sleeves, and are filled with yellow wax. They have item code RLT027 on their packaging.
