Defect, in the NHTSA record
The parking brake release cable may bind if it is too close to the exhaust manifold. Also, the oil hose may contact the brake pump bracket and eventually cause oil to leak from the hydro-max system.
Consequence, in the NHTSA record
This could cause the parking brake to be inoperative, which could allow the truck to roll and could result in an accident.
Remedy, in the NHTSA record
Replace and reroute cable to prevent binding. Also inspect and replace damaged hose.

Brake hose which directs oil from the hydro max brake unit to a steel tube connected to the supply part on the park brake relay valve may contain defects and leak oil from the booster system.

Reduction in hydraulic boost pressure and eventualoperation of the back up brake system and/or manual brakes only.

A new improved hose will be installed in place of the defective one.
