    Air Bags / Side/Window / Curtain

    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain side curtain air bag (CSA) assemblies sold as replacement parts for 2014-2021 Toyota Tundra Double Cab and CrewMax vehicles. The side curtain air bag may have been improperly rolled, causing an improper air bag deployment.
    Consequence, in the NHTSA record
    Improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Dealers will inspect and replace the CSA assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 25, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26TK03 and 26TH03.

    Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain side curtain air bag (CSA) assemblies sold as replacement parts for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma vehicles. The side curtain air bag may have been improperly secured to its mounting bracket, causing an improper air bag deployment.

    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Dealers will inspect and replace the CSA assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 28, 2026.
