    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    Hose fails to meet requirements of FMVSS 106, par. S7 3.7 adhesion between the outer corner and the braids. Consequence of defect: any failure of brake hose would cause loss of air pressure and could result in an accident. However, highway tractor trailer units are equipped with fail safe lockup braking in the event of loss of air pressure.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Replace air brake hose with one that meets the requirement of FMVSS 106.

    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    The base of the valve in the tube cannot be properly positioned due to mismatched size of the valve stem and wheel valve hole. This causes a fold to form in the tube adjacent to the valve base, which may eventually cause the tube to lose air pressure.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    The tubes in recall tires will be replaced with a 700r15 tube having a tr13 valve at no charge. Owners are being notified by goodyear tire and rubber company, NHTSA campaign number 81t011000.

    Defect, in the NHTSA record
    The involved cans of brake fluid do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 116, "motor vehicle brake fluids". The evaporation rate of the fluid exceeds that allowed under the safety standard.
    Remedy, in the NHTSA record
    Unsold shipments of defective brake fluid will be recovered. Brake fluid, identified by the lot number "42" on the can, will be replaced without charge to owners.
